I began my career at CMU in 2006.

In my role in the Office of Undergraduate Research and Scholar Development, I plan the Meeting of the Minds research symposium; administer funds for our many research grants; plan OURSD events and meetings; and collect and distribute grant proposals to committee.

 During my term: I would like to see Staff Council advocate for the general staff of CMU in ways that will encourage university administration to change policies that benefit the entire CMU community.

 My favorite quote is: The comeback is always stronger than the setback.

 The funniest/strangest thing that ever happened to me: While traveling in Malaysia on Semester at Sea, I found myself in the middle of a huge bar fight: men fist-fighting, tables and chairs flying, glasses breaking.  Someone grabbed me and we ran behind the bar for safety.  All turned out OK, but it was like being in a movie!
