I began my career at CMU in 2015 as a Teaching Consultant at the Eberly Center for Teaching Excellence and Educational Innovation. While at Eberly I helped faculty and graduate student instructors develop their evidence-based teaching practices. In my role at the SASC, I've transferred my teaching and learning focus to undergraduate peer mentors. As Associate Director, I support and direct a staff of 80+ peer mentors, including Supplemental Instruction Leaders and peer tutors. In addition to helping other develop as teachers and learners, I also teach in the History Department and Dietrich's Grand Challenge Program.

During my term of Staff Council, I would like to continue my work with the DEI+B Committee, which aims to make CMU a diverse and inclusive environment that promotes equity and a sense of belonging.

My favorite quote is: ““There are three ways to ultimate success: The first way is to be kind. The second way is to be kind. The third way is to be kind." -- Fred Rogers
