I would like to see CMU Staff Council develop a Staff Professional Development Award. This award is given to ambitious staff members who seek to supplement their professional and personal engagement at the University. The award will provide monetary resources that will benefit a staff member's career and professional growth at CMU. Some uses are CMU tuition, professional conference attendance, professional workshop, class or credit.
I can make this happen by starting this committee within Staff Council if elected.

Hello, I'm new to Staff Council and this is my first time running. I have experience working with CMU Staff Council in my short time here. I have helped Carole Panno with the CMU Staff Council food drive the last two years. I along with the police officers and security officers help collect food at the Tepper Garage. Last year I helped Desiree Chronick and Pattye Stragar with CMU Staff Council Kennywood Day. In which CMU PD, set up a table and gave away coloring books, badge stickers, water bottles to all who came. Also last year I worked with Pattye Stragar in Take Our Children To Work Day. I organized that our police department came out and showed off our police cars to the kids in which they were able to turn on the lights and sirens. This year I worked with Chris Deely and Amy Kunkle for Take Our Children To Work.
