2018 Summer Perks and Discounts

The summer season is finally here and as a CMU staff member, you have the opportunity to take advantage of some very exciting summer perks and discounts!

If you’re just starting to make your summer plans, consider a Pittsburgh summer tradition, Kennywood Park. This Pittsburgh staple offers fun for the entire family. Other local park favorites include Sandcastle, Cedar Point, Hershey Park and Idlewild Amusement Park and Soak Zone.

Perhaps you’d prefer to take a walk back in time at the Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival?  Coming to Pittsburgh late summer, this festival features jousting knights, talented artisans, daring performers and much more. Ticket prices for CMU faculty and staff are $19.00 for adults and $9.00 for children. Thou dost not dringle but get ye to the festival!

If you prefer indoor fun, you can take advantage of discounted tickets with various arts organizations performing in the vibrant Pittsburgh Cultural District including  Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Pittsburgh CLO, Pittsburgh Opera, Pittsburgh Public Theater, and many other organizations partnering with the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust.. A few exciting productions out this summer include Titanic and Brigadoon produced by Pittsburgh CLO, Disney’s Aladdin  with the Pittsburgh Broadway Series, Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons performed by the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and much more. Keep an eye on performer, technician and administrator biographies in your programs. You never know when you might see a CMU School of Music, Drama or Art alum!
