Shelves of non-perishable foods at Pittsburgh Community Food Bank

CMU Community Food Drive

Thursday, November 1st – Monday, November 12th

Please join fellow members of the campus community in helping to fight hunger in Pittsburgh!

This year marks the 25th year of Carnegie Mellon University’s Annual Food Drive, sponsored by CMU’s Staff Council. Over the years, our drive has collected $71,264.83 and 137,272 lbs. (or 68 TONS!) of nonperishables for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. The impact of our generosity has been felt by many; and our partners at the Food Bank reiterate, each year, how much they count on the support of our campus community to help those in need. This year, our goal is to raise $25,000 in honor of our 25th anniversary, along with at least 6,200 lbs. of nonperishables. These goals were selected by the Food Drive Committee with the following in mind:

  • Wanting to commemorate our 25th annual drive.
  • Aiming to surpass last year’s results of $19,316.91 and 6,205.5 lbs. of nonperishables.
