Shelves of non-perishable foods at Pittsburgh Community Food Bank

CMU Community Food Drive

We are beyond thrilled to announce the results of this year’s Food Drive … can you hear the drumroll???

  • $28,159.66

  • 7,298.4 pounds of nonperishables

We cannot THANK YOU enough! The outpouring of generosity from our campus community has exceeded even our own expectations! Our goals of $25,000 and 6,200 pounds of nonperishables in honor of our 25th Anniversary were lofty; however, we had faith and you delivered. The money raised, alone, will provide nearly 140,800 meals to our neighbors in need this holiday season … consider the impact ... 140,800 meals!

Of the nonperishables collected, almost 120 pounds was given to CMU’s very own Campus Food Pantry. Additionally, the more than 7,200 pounds of food included 444.5 pounds of peanut butter, as well as 1,156 Snack Bags for Kids.

Thank you, most sincerely, for your support. We look forward to our 26th year of generously supporting our neighbors!
