113 Pounds of Peanut Butter Donated to the Food Bank

The Parking & Transportation Services office collected 113 pounds (1,808 ounces) of peanut butter during their first "Peanut Butter for Citation Payment" campaign in conjunction with Carnegie Mellon University's Staff Council 24th Annual Food Drive. Over forty-five faculty and staff members donated peanut butter for the raffle to receive one free month of parking. Four parking citations were paid with peanut butter for a combined contribution of 160 ounces.

Parking Services would like to thank everyone who supported and contributed to their first "Peanut Butter for Citation Payment" event. Next year, they are planning a much-bigger campaign and hope to increase their payments with peanut butter as well as general donations.

The winner of the free month of parking is Nicolas Hernandez, and the winner of the "Reserved" Parking for one month is Shari Zingle. Congratulations to the winners!
