Graduate students are encouraged to apply to future rounds of the Graduate Student Conference Funding Award. Applications for conferences taking place in July, August & September. Completed applications will be accepted June 15, 2025.

MCS Graduate Student Conference Funding Spring Award Winners Announced

Four winners have received the Mellon College of Science Graduate Student Funding Award for spring conferences.
Associate Dean for Faculty and Graduate Affairs Dejan Slepčev and Director of MCS Graduate Affairs Gwen Stanczak announced the spring recipients. This round's winners include the following students and the meetings they plan to attend:
- Avleen Kaur Chawla, a Ph.D. candidate in Chemistry — gROUNDbreaking approaches for advancing circRNA research: detection, function, therapeutics
- Elianna Lai, a Ph.D. candidate in Biological Sciences — the Immunology 2025 Conference
- Pratyush Madapuji Ravi, a Ph.D. candidate in Biological Sciences —the European Meeting on the Molecular Biology of the Pneumococcus
- Alissa Rzepski, a Ph.D. candidate in Biological Sciences — the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Annual Meeting
