Andy Rockwell Joins Finance Division

Andy Rockwell joins Carnegie Mellon University’s Finance Division as Assistant Vice President for Procurement and Payments, effective August 18, 2025.

Andy’s appointment follows a strategic restructuring of an existing leadership position that now combines oversight of Procurement Services and Accounts Payable. This integration supports our commitment to effective financial operations, strong internal controls, and alignment with industry best practices. Unifying these key areas under one leadership structure better supports our campus community in acquiring and paying for goods and services efficiently, responsibly, and in furtherance of CMU’s mission.  

In this role, Andy will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for both procurement and accounts payable. He will lead a Procurement and Payments team, focused on developing and implementing policies, systems, and processes that optimize supplier relationships, enhance procurement efficiency, and streamline payment operations.
