Edson Severnini joined Carnegie Mellon University in the Fall 2013, as an Assistant Professor of Economics and Public Policy. His interests lie at the intersection of energy, economics, and the environment.
Severnini's work focuses on estimating and understanding the effects of energy infrastructure and environmental regulations on local development, air pollution and health since the age of electrification in the United States. Severini is also working on the impact of climate change on air pollution.
