Partnerships are integral to the work we do at the Scott Institute for Energy Innovation. External partners can get involved in many ways including as Grand Challenge or Seed Grant partners, through sponsored research, participation in CMU Energy Week, and other engagements like sponsored events.

Grand Challenge Partners are mission-aligned organizations that are working with the Scott Institute to push the energy transition forward. They are true leaders; they’ve signed up for net-zero targets by mid-century and they’re doing groundbreaking work to advance technologies and support broad systems-scale solutions to drive deep decarbonization and resilience.

Scott Institute Affiliated Faculty and Energy Fellows collaborate closely with industry on a wide range of energy research topics. The Scott Institute welcomes the opportunity to explore potential research partnerships.
CMU Energy Week
CMU Energy Week convenes experts, key influencers, students, corporate executives, and entrepreneurs from business, government, media, non-governmental organizations and academia for a facilitated dialogue on how to advance energy technologies and innovations around the world. The week will consist of keynote talks, an investor forum, panel discussions, energy technology competitions, an energy career fair, and networking events.
