Bio

Dzombak has over 30 years of experience in research, teaching and consulting on environment and energy topics. He serves on the National Academies Water Science and Technology Board and co-chairs the Roundtable on Science and Technology for Sustainability and the Roundtable on Unconventional Hydrocarbon Development.  He has also  served on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Science Advisory Board and the U.S. Department of Defense Strategic Environmental Research and Development Science Advisory Board.

Research

His current research is focused on climate change adaptation for infrastructure, sustainable mining of metals, and management of produced water from oil and gas development.
