German Delegation Visits the Scott Institute

By Daniel Tkacik

The Scott Institute for Energy Innovation hosted a German Delegation visit from the State of North-Rhine-Westphalia led by Silke Krebs, the State Secretary at the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Action and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW).

Germany's NRW state shares many characteristics with southwestern Pennsylvania, including a rich history in industry and a more recent pivot towards an economy based on advanced manufacturing and technology development. Thus, the Delegation visited the Scott Institute to learn about the energy and cleantech ecosystem on campus and in the region as well as opportunities for future collaboration.
