The (IN2), a technology incubator and platform funded by the Wells Fargo Foundation and administered by the Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), have announced the selection the Scott Institute for a 2022 Strategic Channel Partner Award.

The award includes funding for Energy Fellow Destenie Nock and Faculty Affiliate Corey Harper to examine how the deployment of EV charging infrastructure will impact disaster response performance metrics across low and high-income communities in emergency evacuation scenarios.  The optimization and simulation modeling will help ensure equitable resilience while communities transition to a fully electrified transportation system. As electric vehicles (EV) reach high penetration rates, cities must ensure that charging station distributions allow for a sustainable, resilient, and equitable future.

NREL and Wells Fargo IN2 announced seven winners for this cycle of the Channel Partner Strategic Awards. The Channel Partner Strategic Awards program supports the cleantech ecosystem and helps businesses on their way to commercialization. Winners will pursue projects that support the circular economy, net-zero operations, electrification, sustainable agriculture, and cleantech diversification.
