Azevedo Named Lead Author on Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Report

ines azevedoThe Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) recently announced lead authors for the organization's Sixth Climate Assessment Report. Carnegie Mellon University Professor of Engineering and Public Policy and CMU Center for Climate and Energy Decision Making Co-Director Inês Azevedo will be a lead author for chapter six of the report, which will focus on Energy Systems. Azevedo's contributions are part of the IPCC's Working Group III.

The IPCC's assessments on climate change draw on the work of hundreds of scientists from around the world. The organization's reports enable policymakers to make sound, evidence-based decisions.
