Qian Partners with Local Municipalities for Smarter Mobility
Civil and Environmental Engineering Assistant Professor Sean Qian, director of the Mobility Data Analytics Center, is partnering with local municipalities to improve traffic conditions. Qian and eight other CMU researchers were paired with local communities through the Traffic21 Institute's Smart Mobility Challenge. Using tools like real-time traffic data and dynamic parking pricing, they are collaborating to improve southwest Pennsylvania's mobility.
