Fischbeck Researches Policy Implications of Power Plant Retirement Trends

Energy Policy recently published a study by Social and Decision Sciences Professor Paul Fischbeck, Ph.D. student David Rode and CMU alumnus Antonio Páez examined the energy policy implications of power plant retirement trends. Since younger and more efficient coal plants retire more quickly than older ones, preparations for the 2030 retirement cliff must begin.
