H. Scott Matthews Speaks at Alliance of Automotive Service Providers Summit

On September 23, Carnegie Mellon University Engineering and Public Policy and Civil and Environmental Engineering Professor H. Scott Matthews recently delivered a keynote address at the Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of Pennsylvania (AASP-PA) Shop Survival Summit 2017. The summit brought together shop owners, vendors, and policy experts to survey the latest technology and changes in the automotive service industry.

As Research Director of CMU's Green Design institute, Matthews was able to share Emissions and Safety Inspection results from Carnegie Mellon policy research. His keynote address discussed the deterioration rate of tire tread and a comparative assessment of OBD and IM240 Inspection programs.
