Permits

EHS manages a permitting process. These permits cover all welding, brazing, cutting, soldering and impairments to fire alarm or fire protection systems through maintenance, repair and construction activities including dust production. Permits must be obtained BEFORE beginning any work. To obtain a permit, submit a detailed request (location and scope of the project) to safety@andrew.cmu.edu. EHS will follow-up to issue the permit.
