As incoming first-year students, HSP scholars live together in a residential cluster.
By living and taking classes together, scholars are able to develop a close-knit community that fosters curiosity, creativity, and intellectual development. Because they live together, students often work more closely on class projects, attend events off-campus together, and expand each other’s interests.
This year, the Program is housed in Stever House, along with the other interdisciplinary programs at Carnegie Mellon. After the first year, students can move to other residences on campus or live off-campus.
