Tartan Ink Printer Program

In addition to the Tartan Ink Convenience Copier Program, Tartan Ink supplies and supports desktop printers. Our Technicians can diagnose and fix printer problems as well as perform maintenance on HP desktop printers. Whether your department is looking to buy a new printer, fix an old favorite, or just order supplies, Tartan Ink can fulfill your needs.

Tartan Ink offers two levels of service:  Leased Printer Program and Freelance Printer Program.

Leased Printer Program

  • 24 month printer lease with monthly lease payments
  • All service fees will be waived during lease period
  • Supply Options:
    • HP Printer: Order printer supplies as needed
    • Xerox Printer: Supplies included under a per-click rate based on usage
 Options at the end of the 24 month lease period:
  1. Keep the printer and transition into the Freelance Printer Program. The monthly charges will end and all future printer service is subject to fees due at the time of service.
  2. Upgrade the printer and start a new 24 month lease. The removal fee will be waived.
  3. Return the printer. The removal fee will be charged.

Freelance Printer Program

  • No monthly fees
  • All printer service is subject to fees due at the time of service
  • Supply Options:
    • HP Printer: Order printer supplies as needed
    • Xerox Printer: Supplies included under a per-click rate based on usage
  • Eligibility for our Freelance Printer Program.
    • Printer purchases paid in full at time of installation
    • Service for printers purchased from Tartan Ink and not in Leased Printer Program
    • Service for printers transitioned from the Leased Printer Program after 24 month lease
    • Service for printers purchased from other vendors

Freelance Printer Program Service Fees

Fee Type Fee Amount Description
Installation Fee $40.00 Technician installs printer and completes printer set up.
Diagnostic Fee $40.00 Technician arrives at the printer location. This includes an initial diagnostic of the printer, paper jam clearing, and quick fixes that take less than half an hour.
Service Fee $75.00 This is the hourly rate that applies after the half hour diagnostic period and can be pro-rated.
Disposal Fee $25.00 Technician removes the printer and processes it for disposal.

A $50.00 additional installation supply fee will be charged if a network cable or switch is provided at the time of install.

Supplies

Printer supplies are either bought by the department on an as needed basis for HP printers or covered by a per-click cost based on usage for Xerox printers.

Tartan Ink offers competitive pricing on printer supplies compared to other vendors. We share the savings with your department based on reduced costs developed using our supplier relationship. We guarantee original equipment manufacturer (OEM) products. By using OEM products, the printer delivers its optimal performance and generates more printouts between toner changes. Consistent use of OEM supplies can extend the life of a printer.
