The need for professionals equipped with strong applied data analytics skills is growing in every industry. In fact, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, jobs in the fields of data science grew 31% in 2019.
However, the physical and life sciences industries need graduates with a strong science foundation coupled with current machine learning and AI tools necessary for scientific innovation. The MS in Data Analytics for Science will uniquely position graduates for success in such fields as therapeutics, pharmaceuticals, medical device technology, financial services and autonomous transportation, to name a few.
Graduates from the MS in Data Analytics for Science program will have opportunities to interact with corporate partners through the capstone project and various networking events throughout the academic year. Carnegie Mellon’s Career and Professional Development Center is also available to meet with students and discuss career plans and assist with all aspects of the job search process.
