Bio
Stefani Taskas (they/them) is the Digital Learning Experience Developer for the Department of Languages, Cultures & Applied Linguistics. They have a deep passion for transformational games and work in both The Kenner Room and the Modern Language Resource Center and Humanities Commons developing experiences for language learning and cultural exploration.
They earned a Master of Entertainment Technology here at CMU, and prior to that earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, minoring in Game Design and Development at Michigan State University. They believe that technology and games can be a powerful tool for learning. Whether it’s VR, mobile, tabletop or otherwise, they are interested in developing experiences that draw players to dive deeper into the subject matter covered.
When they are not coding, you can find them playing a game or TTRPG, cuddling their pets, drawing or making a cosplay. Also, stop by if you want to practice Greek with them!
