Academic Coordinator , Integrative Design, Arts, and Technology (IDeATe)

I started full time at CMU in April 2022. Formerly, I worked part time for the Office of Admission reviewing applications during three seasons: 2015, 2016, & 2021.

I coordinate IDeATe course planning and scheduling, which means working closely with faculty and staff across many of our colleges and departments. At times, my job can be more hands on given IDeATe's form and function---I like it when this happens.  I also contribute to community building and network engagement through public programming like student gatherings, project exhibitions, and final showcases.  I also strive to build better engagement with IDeATe projects through public programming like student gatherings, project events, and final showcases.

During my second At-Large Rep term, I would like to see Staff Council continue to "cultivate a transformative university community" for all those we represent and serve. Staff are an essential aspect of this community. We belong here, and ever staff person should feel that sense of belonging.

As current co-chair of the DEI+B Committee on Staff Council, I will continue to leverage my skills and passion for community building and inclusion; we can make impressions and influences that are lasting here at the university.

I also hope to encourage staff to build stronger connections to the academic activities, creative and technical practices, and the research of students and faculty we support each and every day.

People might find it surprising that have alter egos like Fruity the Clown and Sarcasma. ;)
