The Steel City Naval ROTC Unit consists of approximately 90 Midshipmen, Officer Candidates, and MECEPs that comprise the Battalion.  Information and documents for these future Officers can be found in this section of the website. 




Study Smart, Study Less

Everyone gets the feeling of spending hour and hours studying, yet your grades don't improve or you can't remember what you just read. The video below is a great lecture on how to study smart and study less.

POW and PT Plans

The current POW and PT Plan will updated weekly during the academic year for the Midshipmen.


The Guidance section of the website will provide information regarding Battalion operating standards, uniform guidelines, the Colors Procedure, Emergency Action Plans (EAPs), and other documents necessary for Battalion functions.

Documents and Directives

This section contains further information for the Battalion as well as templates for important documents.  Midshipmen are required to visit the Academic Advising section prior to meeting with their class advisor.

Physical Fitness Standards

The Physical Fitness Standards will provide links to the PRT and PFT requirements for the United States Navy and the United States Marine Corps.

Academic Resources

This section will provide links to academic resources at Carnegie Mellon University, the University of Pittsburgh, and Duquesne University.
