Prospective Midshipmen & Parents

Dear Prospective Student,

Congratulations!  You have made the first step in deciding if the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) Scholarship Program is for you.

The NROTC Scholarship Program is not just a leadership development curriculum.  It is also an excellent way to help alleviate the financial burden many college students bear during their undergraduate years.  Along with the professional benefits of participating in the NROTC program, you will also receive a full-tuition scholarship, a book allowance each semester, and a monthly stipend.

Your four years as an undergraduate student will be exciting and memorable.  Choosing to participate in the NROTC program will ensure that you have a college experience anchored in academic, physical, and moral development.  At Steel City NROTC, you will embark upon an exciting journey that will give you valuable leadership experience, financial aid incomparable to other scholarships, and will help you decide which aspect of naval service is for you.  Our leadership curriculum will not only train you for your service commitment, but it will also prepare you for any other endeavors you may pursue in life.

This is an exciting time in your life and I commend you for taking the first step in deciding if this program offers what you're searching for. I wish you the best of luck during this exciting time in your life.

Fair winds and following seas,

Commanding Officer, Steel City NROTC
