The ENGAGE requirements plugs our students into meaningful activities in service, arts and wellness, helping them become well-rounded individuals.

Service Requirement

The service requirement encourages students to be directly involved with community development and service-learning by meeting the following:

  •  A minimum of nine (9) hours of work devoted to an organization of the student's choice

Arts Requirement

The arts requirement inspires students to broaden their knowledge of the arts and extend their global and cultural awareness by meeting the following: 

  • Attend eight (8) events such as exhibitions, concerts, theatrical performances, and lectures with an arts focus
  • Attend at least two (2) events that exposes the student to a culture different than their own
  • Reflect on these experiences and their impact on their own self-identity
     

Wellness Requirement

The wellness requirement promotes students to maintain a balanced life in multiple areas of health and wellness.

  • Assess their own wellness in areas including physical, social, and financial
  • Develop action plans for maintaining/improving personal wellness
  • Actively engage in wellness activities that promote various aspects of their own wellness
