Bio

Julie Sweet is entering her fourth year as a teacher in the kindergarten class at The Children’s School. Prior to working at the Children’s School, Julie taught for eight years in several pre-K and kindergarten enrichment programs in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. Julie is a graduate of Miami University in Ohio with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications. She had a 15-year career in advertising before returning to school at Robert Morris University in 2013 to pursue a Pennsylvania teaching certification in PreK-4 grade. She received her certification in January 2017.  

Julie currently lives in Upper St. Clair with her husband, Jesse, who is an attorney for Westinghouse Electric Corporation. Julie and Jesse have two sons Sam and Charlie, who are both busy college students at University of Georgia and CCAC, respectively. Now that her kids have “flown the nest”, Julie enjoys spending time with her cats Steven and Maisie, taking walks with Jesse, reading and eating great food.
