Facilities Assistant, Drama

I started at CMU in 2021 as a graduate student, and became full time staff in 2024.

I work within the School of Drama to help maintain the facilities and assist with the flow of operational and educational processes. I see the core of my work as ensuring that the people working around me are safe and able to perform their jobs effectively and efficiently.

During my term, I would like to see Staff Council expand to include better outreach to new staff members to facilitate their integration into the staff and general CMU community. I would also like to see Staff Council adopt a committee dedicated to financial wellness and improving the financial literacy of all staff members, including student employees.

My favorite quote is "We're only stardust." from the movie Sunshine (2007), which is a call to Carl Sagen's quote "We are made of starstuff."

The only superpower I have ever really wanted is the power of flight. I had so many peaceful dreams of flying as a child; I must have been a bird in a past life. If I could couple that with super-strength or the ability to dispel evil from the hearts of humans, even better.
