LT Joshua Oberley

LT Joshua Oberley was born in Rota, Spain, and raised in Pensacola, FL. He attended Pensacola Christian College and graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Pre-Physical Therapy. He continued his studies and graduated in 2015 with a Doctorate in Chiropractic degree at Palmer College of Chiropractic.

LT Oberley commissioned on November 6th, 2015 from Officer Candidate School in Newport, RI. Upon commissioning, LT Oberley reported to NAS Pensacola for API. After completing primary flight school in Milton, FL, and intermediate flight school in Corpus Christi, TX, he was selected to fly the P-8A Poseidon for Patrol Squadron 8 in NAS Jacksonville.  During his first tour, he became a Schedules Officer and an assistant Tactics Officer while becoming a Mission Commander. 

Upon completion of his first tour, LT Oberley received Orders to Steel City NROTC Unit as an Assistant Professor of Naval Science. LT Oberley is the advisor to the 2/C and 3/C Midshipmen and teaches Introduction to Naval Science and Sea Power and Maritime Affairs.

LT Oberley resides in Pittsburgh and is a lifelong fan of Pittsburgh sports. He enjoys attending games, hunting, fishing, and playing soccer.
