LT PARKER SHARP

LT Parker Sharp grew up in Heber City, UT before attending the United States Naval Academy. There, he earned a Bachelor's degree in Physics and was commissioned as a Surface Warfare Officer in 2019.

Upon commissioning, LT Sharp moved to Yokosuka, Japan to serve his first tour on USS BLUE RIDGE (LCC 19) as the Electrical Officer. While onboard, BLUE RIDGE broke her underway record by achieving 72 days at sea during the COVID-19 pandemic. His second tour was in Sasebo, Japan as the Weapons Officer/1st LT on USS PATRIOT (MCM 7).

Upon completion of his second tour, LT Sharp was transferred to Steel City NROTC as an Assistant Professor of Naval Science. LT Sharp is the Senior Class Advisor and teaches 'Navigation' and 'Naval Operations and Seamanship.'

This is LT Sharp's first time in Pittsburgh, and he has come to enjoy the city. He is currently working on completing Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) as well as completing a Master's in Business Administration at Tepper School of Business. In his free time, LT Sharp enjoys singing, learning Japanese, and catching up on the latest Netflix series.
