LT NATALIE LAUREL BOERIO

LT Natalie Boerio was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. She attended The University of Kansas and graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Exercise Science and Physical Therapy.

LT Boerio commissioned on January 6th, 2017 from Officer Candidate School in Newport, RI. Upon commissioning, LT Boerio reported to the USS COLE (DDG 67). She served as First Lieutenant from May 2017 – December 2018. Following a successful first tour, LT Boerio was selected to fleet up as the Damage Control Assistant on COLE. LT Boerio served as the Damage Control Assistant from April 2019 – August 2021. LT Boerio also served as COLE’s Legal Officer during her two tours.

Upon completion of her two Division Officer tours at sea, LT Boerio received Orders to Steel City NROTC Unit as an Assistant Professor of Naval Science. LT Boerio is the advisor to the 1/C Midshipmen and teaches Navigation and Naval Operations and Seamanship.

LT Boerio resides in Pittsburgh and is a lifelong Steelers and Pitt fan. She enjoys spending her weekends attending games, going on hikes, running marathons, cooking for friends, or traveling to visit family and friends.
