First Year Seminar (EUREKA: Discovery and Its Impact (38-101) OR Catalyst (38-100) equips you with the foundational knowledge, skills, and perspective that will support your development as emerging scientists and mathematicians.

• Observe important traits and characteristics of successful scientists and mathematicians.
• Develop strategies for nurturing personal well being, academic success, and ethical decision making.
• Participate in effective and successful teams projects, and develop oral and written communication skills.
• Develop a sense of belonging and build a strong foundation of community within the college by developing relationships with upper-class mentors, faculty, and alumni.
