Announcing the Search for a Vice Provost for Institutional Effectiveness and Planning
Dear Members of the Carnegie Mellon University Community:
I am pleased to announce that we have commenced the search for CMU’s inaugural Vice Provost for Institutional Effectiveness and Planning. This new role will replace the Vice Provost for Resource Planning position previously held by Georgia Giatras, who recently announced her departure from Carnegie Mellon to pursue an exciting new professional opportunity. Starting next week, she will be the Chief Operating Officer at Climate Analytics — a non-governmental organization in Berlin, Germany.
Reporting directly to me, the Vice Provost for Institutional Effectiveness and Planning will serve as the senior most institutional research leader for CMU, overseeing the Office of Institutional Research and Analysis and providing oversight for internal and external reporting and the university’s assessment plan. They will play a critical role in leading, championing and facilitating data-driven decision-making at CMU, including data governance and integrity and will provide strategic guidance for planning, evaluation, data analysis and research methodologies that support key initiatives and stakeholders across the university.
