New Features Added to My Plaid Student

Three new features aimed at providing students with more tools to keep their parents or other family members involved in their educational experience have been added to My Plaid Student (MPS). Students may now choose to give authorized MPS users the ability to view their grades and QPA, semester course schedules and most recent financial aid award letter. 

To begin taking advantage of these enhancements, a student with existing MPS users will need to manage their access permissions by visiting the Manage Family & Friends page under the My Info tab in Student Information Online (SIO). 

Once the permissions have been updated in SIO, the additional options as selected by the student will be visible to the authorized MPS user on their MPS welcome page.

The final grades and QPA option, as well as the semester schedule option, will include all semesters available for the student. A student may choose to provide access to mid-semester grades, in addition to final grades, as well. Those with access to view a student’s financial aid award letter will only see the most recent, up-to-date version of the letter. In addition to the new features described above, CMU’s mobile-friendly MPS tool gives authorized users the ability to make payments, order enrollment verifications, and more – making it the easiest way to ensure that family and friends are informed and involved!
