Carnegie Mellon University

Division of Enrollment Services

Welcome to My Plaid Student!

My Plaid Student (MPS) gives authorized users access to a student's invoices and student account activity, as well as the ability to make payments to the student's account. Students may also authorize their users to request enrollment verifications via MPS.

When students complete the authorization process, they can select the categories of information their invited user may access. Other categories of information will be available through MPS in the future.

Not Registered?

Ask your student to grant you access via Student Information Online (SIO).

Authorization & Access

Students grant access to their users (typically a family member) via Student Information Online (SIO). The user will receive a guest invitation email with a link to begin the My Plaid Student registration and log-in process.

Registration with Cirrus Identity Services is needed in order to access My Plaid Student, unless the invited user has an active Carnegie Mellon Andrew email account. Cirrus uses certain social providers (Google, Yahoo, Facebook, LinkedIn) to offer protected access to MPS. These providers allow the user to self-register for MPS log in.

MPS Pay Online

My Plaid Student users can now make student account payments directly through MPS using the Pay Online feature. This component has been a popular request from many CMU families and was added in January 2017. Check out our user guides for instructions on getting started:

Frequently Asked Questions

Student Privacy & MPS

Carnegie Mellon encourages students to keep their Andrew User IDs and passwords private. Parents, family members or other individuals who wish to view a student's information are asked to please not request log-in information from their student. Instead, we suggest that parents and family members take advantage of other secure services provided specifically for them, like My Plaid Student and Invoice Authorization.
