The MSE department houses a range of imaging facilities. One example is a laser scanning Multi-photon Confocal Microscopy Facility (MCMF) with a fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy module. The MCMF allows for the imaging of microscopic objects and their dynamics deep within a three dimensional sample with very little photo-damage and with high spatial and temporal resolutions.
