Danelle Belau has called the Pittsburgh area home for 16 years. Originally from Nebraska, she earned a BS in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from the University of Nebraska. She has taught in a variety of classroom settings, including: K-2 multi-age, Early Childhood ELL, Pre-K, Kindergarten, and Head Start. She also spent a year substitute teaching in the greater-Pittsburgh area, teaching all subject areas and all grades K-6.

Danelle and her husband, Dave, have two children. Her daughter is a senior in high school and participates in all the athletics: soccer, swimming, and track and field.
