Bio

Maggie Lane Rosenblum graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a B.A. in the History of Science. After working for more than ten years in various capacities for small research firms on Wall Street, she moved to Pittsburgh with her family and earned certification in Early Childhood Education and a master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh. For two years, Maggie worked as a preschool teacher at Temple Children’s Center in Squirrel Hill. This is her twenty-fourth year being affiliated with the Children’s School. For the first 10 years, she was a 3’s teacher and then she segued into administration. This will be Maggie's second year working as an educational consultant for the Children's School with her primary focus being on professional development and family education.

Maggie lives with two cats - Stan and Ollie - and her composer husband, Mathew. Their oldest daughter, Anna, graduated from CMU eight years ago and lives with her husband in Tampa, Florida while working remotely as an architect. Their younger daughter, Sara, obtained a master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh’s GSPIA Program three years ago and is working for the Pittsburgh Public Schools. Maggie enjoys eating dark chocolate while reading mystery novels, and she collects antique three-piece china soap dishes. The Rosenblum family enjoys walking, talking to their cats, and watching BBC mysteries.
