Bio

Linda Hancock is beginning her thirty-sixth year at the Children’s School. From 1988-2009, she taught in the Children’s School Kindergarten. In 2009, Linda began her tenure as an Educational Administrator, a role in which she provides support for the preschool and kindergarten programs. Linda graduated from Chatham College with a B.A. in Psychology as well as receiving teacher certification in Early Childhood and Elementary Education.  While teaching at the Children’s School, she earned a master’s degree in education at Duquesne University. 

Linda volunteers her time with several organizations including LJ’s Loft, a music academy dedicated to the memory of her brother, the Norwin Play It Forward Fund, and the Norwin Lions Club in which she serves as Vice President and chairs the Student of the Month and Scholarship committees. She also serves on the scholarship selection committees of Music for All and the LJ Hancock Fund of The Pittsburgh Foundation. In 2017, Linda was named the Norwin Lions Club Volunteer of the Year. Linda and her fiancé, Dennis, enjoy gardening, cooking, swimming, yoga, classic car restoration, and the performing arts.
