Loan/Borrowing Information

U.S. federal financial loan eligibility is determined based on the Heinz College estimated cost of attendance less Heinz scholarships and financial aid from other sources. Any of the estimated costs that are shown in Australian dollars are converted to US dollars using a 0.7469503548 conversion rate for the sole purpose of calculating U.S. federal loan eligibility. The conversion rate is updated periodically. Miscellaneous includes estimated loan fees of $109 per semester.

If students borrow in excess of student account changes, the student account refund is processed in the same currency in which their tuition is charged. Students may make a request to have their student account refunds converted and paid in the currency of their choice (U.S. dollars or Australian dollars). The conversion rate used to calculate refunds to another currency is the then-current conversion rate.

Regarding Estimates

These estimates are used for federal financial aid calculation purposes for eligible students and NOT I-20 eligibility. Incoming international students can access the estimated cost of tuition for their program and track on Heinz College's website.
