Computational Biologists work in different types of companies. There are positions for them in pharmaceutical companies, academic labs, federal and state governments, hospital labs, genomics core facilities, biotechnology companies and software development companies.

During the academic year, opportunities for networking with representatives of company will be available. Students are highly encouraged and given several opportunities to meet with the CMU Career & Professional Development Center and with the MSCB steering committee to discuss their career plans and to get guidance and assistance in all aspects of their job search.
