During their time in the MSCB program, students will be learn to

  1. Design a well-crafted resume and be prepared for interviews for internships and jobs.
  2. Develop an understanding of the mechanisms and limitations of contemporary biotechnology tools and be able to interpret their outputs.
  3. Be proficient in programming concepts that can be applied to a variety of programming languages used in bioinformatics and computational biology.
  4. Discuss and apply the industrial, academic, and medical applications of classical and emergent bioinformatics and machine learning techniques.
  5. Understand challenges and create solutions for analyzing data at large scale including solving problems and developing models.
