Support Carnegie Mellon’s 31st Annual Food Drive
Dear Members of the CMU Community:
Today, Staff Council launched Carnegie Mellon’s 31st Annual Food Drive. We are honored to chair this year’s initiative, which runs through Monday, Nov. 11.
Coming together to support the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank is not only a chance to address food insecurity in our region but also to strengthen the bond between our campus and the community that sustains us. Each year, it is a delight to see our students, faculty and staff come together for what has become the highest-grossing food drive in the region.
Our goal this year is to raise $100,000 for the food bank in addition to nonperishable food items. We also aim to collect 350 can openers for the CMU Food Pantry.
We invite you to join us at the following events and bring a donation for the chance to win prizes:
Oct. 29 and Nov. 5, Noon-5 p.m., Alumni House
Benefits & Fitness Fair
Oct. 30, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Second Floor, Cohon University Center
Food Drive Fall Fest
Nov. 7, noon-2 p.m., Sidewalk Outside Merson Courtyard
Or simply drop off your nonperishable food donation here:
Drive & Drop
Oct. 31, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Tepper Garage
Nov. 11, 1-3 p.m., East Campus Garage
If you have any questions, please contact Carole Panno at cp1g@andrew.cmu.edu.
We look forward to another successful Food Drive at CMU. Thank you for your support and generosity each year, which is helping to end hunger and food insecurity in the region.
Sincerely,
