Thank You | Another Successful Year for the CMU Food Drive

Dear Members of the Carnegie Mellon Community:

We are so grateful for your collective generosity in support of our 30th Annual Food Drive. In a short span of time, our CMU community contributed the following:

  • Total dollars raised: $95,836.95
  • Total pounds of nonperishables collected (including can openers): 1,403 lbs.
  • Total number of can openers donated to our CMU Food Pantry: 386

Using the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank’s formula to convert pounds to dollars and adding that figure to our cash total, our grand total raised this year was an incredible $97,590.70!

Once again, your generosity has led to an incredibly impactful year for CMU’s Food Drive. We are grateful for, and humbled by, your amazing response and continued support from year-to-year. In fact, in the 30-year history of our drive, we’ve collected almost $517,000 and 79.7 tons of food! Tartans continue to set the standard for compassion and generosity to help eradicate hunger and food insecurity in the region. We look forward to seeing what records we will break in our 31st year!

Thank you, again.

Sincerely,
