Another Record-Breaking Year for the CMU Food & Fund Drive

Dear Members of the CMU Community,

Words cannot express how grateful we are for your collective generosity in support of our 28th Annual Food Drive. In a short span of time, our CMU community contributed the following:

  • Total dollars raised online: $109,600.44
  • Total lbs.: 2,483 lbs., 12 oz. (including can openers and bags)
  • Reusable Grocery Bags: 338 (donated to our CMU Food Pantry)
  • Can Openers: 60 (donated to our CMU Food Pantry)

Using the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank’s formula to convert pounds to dollars and adding that figure to our cash total, our grand total raised this year was an incredible $112,705.13!

Once again, your generosity has led to a record-breaking year for CMU’s Food Drive. We are grateful for, and humbled by, your amazing response.  Tartans continue to set the standard for compassion and generosity to help eradicate hunger and food insecurity in the region.

We wish you and your families a safe and happy Thanksgiving and extend our profound gratitude to you for supporting those in need this holiday season.

Sincerely,

Jim Garrett
