Graduate Programs at CMU

A variety of accelerated master's degree programs are available to Information Systems majors at Carnegie Mellon. These programs allow students to complete the Information Systems Bachelor of Science degree program while simultaneously enrolled in a graduate degree program. Students typically earn their master's degree in two or three additional semesters, depending on the program, and possibly a summer session, of study.

Students interested in these opportunities must meet with the academic advisors for these programs and be sure to discuss their plans with the IS academic advisor

Master of Information Systems Management (MISM)

Students in the Heinz MISM AMP are able to complete their studies in 2 additional graduate semesters beyond their bachelor's degree. Students will earn 60 units toward the program by the end of their 4th year of undergraduate study, leaving 120 units to be earned during their 5th year (subject to Information Systems double counting rules).
