Registrar Spaces

The University Registrar's Office controls over one hundred teaching spaces and computer labs in various campus buildings. Our teaching spaces, which vary in size, contain a mix of fixed, conference, and active learning seating, along with an instructor table and chair. Our classrooms are inspected prior to the start of each semester to ensure they contain the correct number of chairs and ample supplies.

Interested in scheduling a space? Carnegie Mellon University's 25Live application is the only recognized method for scheduling University Registrar controlled spaces for events outside of instruction.

The university teaching space list below references owner,  space type, seating type and student capacity for all teaching spaces on campus.  Spaces are noted as central uro owner are managed by the University Registrar's Office. Note: Not all spaces are on 25live are available for event scheduling.

Shared Teaching Spaces

There are several classrooms and learning halls that are scheduled for classes but do not appear on 25Live. This means that courses and final exams are scheduled in these spaces, but all event scheduling, outside of course instruction, is handled through the department scheduler.
