This message was updated Friday, March 20, 2020 (10:30 a.m. EST). Bold sentences include the most recent updates.
Dear Pittsburgh Campus CMU Students,
We want to make sure you know about the specific steps The HUB is taking to promote the health and safety of the Carnegie Mellon community.
Please view the university’s webpage for the latest information about the COVID-19/Coronavirus Pandemic and CMU’s response.
As many of us are adjusting our daily lives in response to COVID-19, The HUB is seeking new and innovative ways to engage and support you. The HUB student service center's physical location has been temporarily closed. Until further notice, we are implementing the following modified student services:
Email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 412-268-8186.
HUB LIAISON APPOINTMENTS
Email your liaison directly or schedule via Schedule Once in SIO (under Contacts). All appointments will take place via phone or Zoom.
Scan or take a photo of your completed and signed form, and email it to email@example.com.
STUDENT ACCOUNT PAYMENTS
Online payment options are available. Cash payments have been temporarily suspended. We do not suggest mailing check payments, as postal services on campus are limited and receipt of your payment may be delayed.
STUDENT ACCOUNT REFUNDS
Enroll in electronic refunding for all future refunds you expect to receive.
TRANSCRIPTS & VERIFICATIONS
All transcript orders should be placed through Credential Solutions via SIO. When ordering verifications through SIO, please select the PDF option for delivery. Fax and U.S. mail options are unavailable at this time.
Because the printing and distribution of cards cannot be handled remotely, ID Card services have been temporarily suspended. Students who are experiencing issues with their ID Cards (i.e., lost or damaged card) and are unable to use their card to access their residence or dining meal plan, should contact firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com for assistance.
While The HUB values and appreciates in-person engagement to provide services to CMU’s campus community, we feel it is in all of our best interests to implement these modifications. We understand you may be feeling concerned and isolated during this challenging time, and so we encourage you to reach out to your HUB liaison should you need assistance, so they can direct you to the appropriate resources.
Thank you for your understanding and patience as we implement these necessary changes.
