The 2020-2021 cost of attendance, which includes tuition, is published on The HUB’s website. This tuition rate was approved by CMU’s Board of Trustees in February 2020, following the normal cycle, and represents the correct tuition rate for the academic year 2020-21.

A revised fee schedule and revised cost of attendance figures for the 2020-2021 academic year are available on The HUB website. Fees for spring 2021 were reviewed comprehensively; some remain unchanged, some are reduced, and the media fee is $0.

Living independently indicates that you are living by yourself or with a roommate in an apartment, house, etc., either in Pittsburgh or in another city, and are bearing the costs of your housing. CMU's cost of attendance includes a housing allowance to account for these independent housing expenses.

Living as a dependent indicates that parent(s), guardian(s) or others are bearing more than 50% of the costs of your housing. CMU's cost of attendance does not include a housing allowance for those living as a dependent.
