Change Management Taking Root at CMU

The Office of Human Resources (OHR) is pleased to report that a multidisciplinary group of employees from OHR, Finance and Computing Services participated in a pilot change management training and certification program. The research-based training was conducted in February 2022 by Prosci, a leader in change management research and practice. Over the intense three-day training, participants learned about best-practice change management methodology and walked away with an understanding of industry-leading tools and strategies to overcome challenges faced when implementing change. At the end of the training, participants were awarded the distinction of being a Prosci Certified Change Practitioner. The graduates are scheduled to meet quarterly to foster continued learning, support each other and identify ways to strengthen this competency at CMU.
